Professional Dog Groomer required

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small friendly Animal Grooming Salon based at Corner Cottage Animal Boarding, Cleatham, North Lincolnshire, DN21 4JN (www.cornercottageboarding.co.uk)

The ideal candidate will be:

· Experienced having groomed previously and be proficient in grooming all animals with care and to a high standard.

· They will also be qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 in Animal Grooming.

· Must be able to offer a professional service to an exceptionally high standard with excellent customer service skills.

You will be the face of our salon, looking after our clients and their pets, giving them the best five star treatment they deserve with exceptionally high standards in styling, welfare and hygiene. Being able to manage the appointment diary, and the running of the spa with excellent customer service to both dogs and the customers.

The successful applicant must be computer literate and be able to use a client database for record keeping (full training will be given); have a friendly manner with the customers, developing relationships with both them and their pets and have a passion for all aspects of the Animal Grooming Industry.

The Salon has one other part time self-employed groomer. So the vacancy is either on a self-employed basis (days and hours to be mutually agreeable and must include a weekend day with either rent or a percentage charge to be agreed) or on an employed basis with a contract for 24 hours per week with more hours available as demand dictates. The present employed dog groomer works on average 4-5 days a week with more during peak times and when the second self-employed groomer is not here.

You will be required to promote the salons services on social media and expand the existing customer base (if required).
