We are currently recruiting for a Junior Designer to manage and have sole responsibility for the creation, design and development of a portion of the range.
You will develop/source a commercial range meeting customer & market requirements whilst driving profit ahead of sales.

“Find your role”
· Responsible for correct range construction including design & range building process.
· Awareness of departmental profit, sales & highest markdown lines.
· Responsible for creating department product strategy. Starting to demonstrate strategic thinking, drives innovative & market leading
ideas into product ranges and store environment.
· Research, collate & identify key trends, shape, fabric & colour for department and ensures they are in ranges.
· Prepares and presents in the production & delivery of the design presentation.
· Demonstrates strong awareness of market trends and competitor ranges. Identifies missed opportunities & 3 key actions.
· Completion of regular inspirational shop reports. Highlight and follows up on 3 key actions.
· Proactive production of design packs to agreed standard in-line with the critical path.
· Prepares & presents in key departmental meetings i.e. Base Plan, Range Build, RBSO, Selection & Product Reviews.
· Responsible for ranking with buying & merchandising, taking into account department history & trends.
· Direct product development with supply base.
· Understands garment construction and its effect on lead-time and cost.
· Understands supply base capabilities.
· Drives Ethical Trading at George and supply base.
· Attends Design The Legal Way and adheres to legal requirements
