The Opportunity
Join Aggregate Industries as a Plant Supervisor, where you’ll take charge of site operations, ensuring safety, production efficiency, and excellent quality standards. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact on a leading manufacturer and supplier of concrete. Working closely with the Plant Manager, you’ll play a vital role in meeting customer demands, maintaining site standards, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Assist the Plant Manager in managing the business unit, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental objectives, including ISO9001 and 14001 standards.
- Complete and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and ensure the delivery of toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Oversee site operations, including material sampling, to ensure quality standards are maintained and production processes run efficiently.
- Act as a key point of contact for visitors, staff, and contractors, ensuring site inductions and safety measures are carried out to company standards.
- Support the delivery of the Site Improvement Plan and contribute to achieving performance targets through proactive planning and leadership.
Who You Are
You’re a motivated and proactive Plant Supervisor with strong leadership skills and a commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence. Your ability to oversee operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement makes you a vital team member.
- Knowledge of the construction materials industry and hands-on experience with operational processes, including plant operation and mixing.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and train staff to achieve full compliance.
- Professional, self-motivated, and pragmatic, with a business-like attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, IPPC permits, and company systems like KMI and ICare.
