“Find your role”
As Finance Manager - Technology, you will lead a team within the Property and New Business Team responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of our Technology departments. Alongside this you will be responsible for managing the financial accounting and reporting for financing structures within the wider Property and New Business Team, supporting on ad-hoc financing transactions and the accounting for new technology projects across the team.
In this role, you'll be pivotal to ensuring that our corporate and business strategies are supported by the very best financial accounting and control processes – and that these processes continually maximise our profitability and efficiency.
You will combine technical accounting with coaching, communication, influencing, leadership and prioritisation skills to ensure that we maintain a strong control environment over ASDAs Technology P&Ls.

You should be a Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong communication skills and a technical accounting background.
You should also have the following:
Leadership experience, in particular coaching and developing others
Confidence liaising with people at all levels and dealing with competing stakeholders in a time pressured environment
Great analytical skills and an eye for detail
Able to quickly prioritise and make decisions
Able to think laterally, challenge the status quo to drive efficiencies across processes
