The Marketing Department encompasses a wide range of activities aimed at understanding customer needs, creating value propositions, and effectively communicating these propositions to our customers and target audiences.
The Brand & Planning team are the custodians of the Dunelm brand, owning the annual brand strategy and supporting communications plan to increase consumers perceptions of Dunelm.
The Senior Advertising Manager is responsible for bringing the Dunelm brand to life to our key consumer segments by driving deeper brand engagement and consideration through compelling ATL marketing campaigns. This role will lead the development and delivery of fully integrated campaigns that are rooted in our brand purpose, customer insight and mindset aligned to the business’s ongoing growth ambitions.
This role is responsible for being the main lead contact for our Creative and Media agencies, being the custodian of the brand and ensuring that all activity delivers against the Brand strategy. Core responsibilities include:

- Media Partnerships and/or Sponsorships
This role is a hybrid opportunity (Office location either London or Leicester Syston).
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate and manage the development and execution of all ATL Campaigns in line with the brand marketing strategy.
- Responsible for leading cross agency campaign briefings, ensuring a robust measurement framework is in place.
- Oversee large budgets for media and production, working collaboratively with Procurement to ensure budgets are rigorously reviewed and budgets are managed efficiently.
- Day to day lead for our media and creative agency partners, ensuring a high standard of work across all teams and managing the ways of working to allow for best-in-class campaigns to be delivered.
- Stakeholder management of internal channel owners, creating and maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring all key stakeholders are delivering against the marketing and campaign plans.
- Leverage available insight and data and apply an excellent knowledge of all ATL media channels to deliver effective, impactful, and fully integrated campaigns.
- Apply a test and learn approach, working closely with our I&A team in order to conduct relevant testing ahead of launch (where needed) and implementing post launch analysis for future development.
- Explore new media opportunities over and above the annual campaign laydown to identify new and innovative opportunities for the Brand.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Buying and Merchandising, thoughtfully showcasing the products which support commercial plans, and have optimal stock position.
- Align fully with our Digital Marketing team to ensure our campaigns are fully through-the-funnel in terms of marketing execution.
- Manage the ATL Campaign Manager, ensuring they are motivated and performing their role to a high standard.
What we'll look for in you
- Enthusiastic and motivated marketing professional with strong experience of marketing campaign planning experience preferably within the retail sector.
- Proven track record of delivering effective campaigns across all channels including TV, radio, paid digital media (social, display etc) and owned channels (website, CRM, organic social).
- Experience of working closely with media, creative and production agencies.
- Highly numerate, able to manage budgets effectively.
- Experience in line management, with demonstrable experience of setting realistic objectives, monitoring performance, giving feedback, and supporting development.
- A first-class communicator, project manager and customer-obsessed marketer.
- A creative, curious, and strategic thinker, with a hands-on approach. Your creative eye means you’ll instinctively know what good looks like, and what’s right for our brand.
- A passionate brand ambassador for Dunelm, with a deep understanding of Dunelm’s goals, purpose, and values. You’ll love Dunelm and enjoy pushing the brand whilst bringing everyone along on the on the journey.
