Working as part of our Merchandising team, you will be involved in trading your department to delight our customers with our product range. You'll work closely with our Merchandisers to ensure our products are in the right place, at the right time. You'll analyse sales data, manage stock levels, and collaborate with suppliers to support the department's success.

This role is the next step up in our career path. First, there's the Merchandise Assistant position, where we offer an 18-month training program to help you transition to becoming a Junior Merchandiser. Then, there's the Merchandiser role, where we provide a variety of specialised courses and training sessions to support your progression. It's all about helping you grow and develop.
This role is a hybrid opportunity based in our Store Support Centre in Leicester.
What you'll be doing
What this role requires of you:
- Build strong relationships cross functionally in my category. I work as a team to drive category performance and to be on the front foot for upcoming launches and events.
- Supporting the team with sales and stock analysis which I present in a clear, simple, and succinct way which can aid creating the product range.
- Know the product range inside out ensuring all orders are accurate and on time. - Managing the line cards to ensure changes in sales patterns are reflected and stock is adapted in line.
- Ensuring pack sizes & shelf fills are sufficient for the sales plan, ensuring efficient stock flow to stores & web are within target cover parameters.
- Manage allocations of stock ensuring to hit launch deadlines and maintain strong availability.
- You will be responsible for critical path management for my department & ensuring products arrive on time & are allocated out to the correct stores for launch.
- Build a good rapport with suppliers as they are dealt with on a day-to-day basis, leading supplier meetings which could include negotiating volumes / pack sizes and shipment plans.
- Work with the ME Team (Visual Merchandising) to ensure that planograms grading & fill levels are accurate.
- Have a good understanding of stock KPI’s identifying risk & trading opportunities to maintain cover targets, acting on slow sellers.
- Availability – assist Merchandising team in planning dept line-cards, strong working relationship with suppliers, prepare weekly stock summary report with actions to improve & maintain availability
- Strong in store & web availability
- Stock levels kept within company targets.
