Hundreds of Jobs on Offer at Teesside Park’s Upcoming Jobs Fair
Teesside Park is gearing up to host a major jobs fair next week, offering hundreds of full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles at popular retailers and restaurants including M&S, JD Sports, Nando's, and Wagamama. The event, set for Tuesday, October 8th, aims to connect job seekers—whether students returning to Teesside University or those simply looking for a new opportunity—with potential employers.
The jobs fair will be held at the Hello Building, located next to Sports Direct at Teesside Park, between 4pm and 7pm. Job hunters will have the chance to meet representatives from a variety of well-known brands such as TK Maxx, M&S, and Wagamama, who will be on hand to discuss available positions and provide helpful tips and guidance on the application process.
With the academic year just starting, the event coincides with a student night also being held at Teesside Park on the same evening. From 4pm until late, students can enjoy a range of exclusive offers, such as buy-one-get-one-free at Bubble CiTea and 25% off at Tim Hortons. There will also be entertainment, including a free game of bowling at Hollywood Bowl’s pop-up lane, where housemates and friends can compete for fun.
Students attending the event will also benefit from a free bus service, running between Teesside University and Teesside Park from 3:30pm to 9pm. The TP1 service will operate from Borough Road in Middlesbrough, offering students convenient and free transport to the fair—simply by showing their student ID.
Catherine Furlong, centre director at Teesside Park, highlighted the importance of the event for both the local community and businesses in the area. "Teesside Park is a significant employer, with over 60 stores and restaurants employing more than 2,000 people collectively," she said. "Our upcoming jobs fair is a great opportunity for anyone seeking new employment while supporting our retailers with their Christmas recruitment. With freshers arriving at Teesside University, it's also a great chance for students to explore part-time work options."
Furlong encouraged anyone in search of a new job—especially students—to attend the fair. "We’d love to see students take advantage of the free bus service and exclusive student offers while exploring potential roles at the fair," she added.
